Welcome letter

Friends and Neighbors,

Please join me in our work for economic, social and racial justice in Minnesota. I am proud to represent Phillips, Whittier, Stevens Square and part of Powderhorn Park Neighborhoods in the MN House of Representatives.

I have been able to be effective for our neighborhoods because of strong, organized  grassroots community support for the state legislation we have brought forward together. Your ideas, testimony and support inspire me to fight hard for the changes we need. In 2017, more than ever, we need to make progress in challenging the racial disparities in housing, jobs, and education and to bring renewed commitment to environmental justice, neighborhood safety and disrupting the pipelines to prison for so many of our youth.

Investment in childcare, urban farming opportunities, comprehensive drug intervention and chemical dependency treatment are critical right now. The strength of our cultural diversity is an asset I honor and will continue to support for all, including our New Americans.
